How Temporary Email Works
Temporary email is a short-lived inbox that can receive email without requiring you to expose a permanent personal address. On this service, a mailbox is created immediately and can be configured to expire after 10 minutes, 1 hour or 24 hours.
How incoming mail reaches the inbox
For addresses ending in @tempmail.freemailcheck.com, normal internet email delivery is used. Sending mail servers look up the domain's MX record and deliver the message to the receiving mail server. The application then places the message in the temporary inbox associated with that address.
What happens when an inbox expires?
Expired temporary inboxes are automatically removed together with their stored messages and attachments. Temporary email should therefore not be used as permanent storage for important correspondence.
Receiving-only design
The service currently receives email but does not provide outbound email sending. This keeps the product focused on temporary inbox use, testing and privacy.
