Temporary Email and Privacy

A temporary inbox can help reduce how often you expose your primary email address. It is particularly useful when you only need to receive a short-lived message or when testing a website or application.

Temporary does not mean anonymous

A disposable inbox should not be treated as a guarantee of anonymity. Email delivery involves multiple systems, and websites or mail providers may record their own connection and account information.

Remote image protection

HTML emails can contain remotely loaded images that may be used for tracking. The message viewer blocks remote images before displaying sanitized HTML.

Attachments

Supported attachments can be downloaded, while several dangerous executable or script-based file types are rejected. Never open an attachment you do not trust simply because it arrived in a temporary inbox.

Automatic deletion

Mailboxes and associated stored data are removed when the temporary mailbox expires. Delete an inbox manually when you no longer need it.
